Alan Lewis Diamond Viewer Alan Lewis' latest achromatic stereo viewer is a hand held portable stereoscope, a hand held lorgnette, and a base-mounted stereoscope all rolled into one. You can easily lift it off its base making it a hand held scope; unscrew a single knurled brass nut to reduce it to a lorgnette for viewing pairs on your computer screen, in books, etc. The Diamond Viewer's exclusive design features lenses mounted to match the height of the stereocard. All other Holmes viewers have lenses mounted well below the stereocard centerline, introducing extra distortion.
The striking modern design made from solid oak with brass hardware feels balanced and comfortable in your hand. It comes in a handy storage box so you can take the scope with you. Unique "Zero Free Play" design sliding stage assures both perpendicular and parallel positioning of your stereoview. Sliding stage glides easily on Teflon guides.
The superior achromatic lenses will show you color and details you have never seen before in both your antique and self-made stereoviews. Especially black and white stereoviews will look spectacular, free from the color fringing you are used to seeing in non-achromatic viewers.
Miami preordered sales will be discounted before your card is charged.
